As you probably know, I am an animal lover, and over the years have had quite a collection of dogs, cats, rabbits, a parakeet who hated me, fish, and a backyard visiting turtle. I started a pet wreath years ago which holds old collars, old name and address tags, rabies licenses, pictures of my pets, pictures of my pets with my children, dog and cat ornaments, and lots of needlepoint animal ornaments, including my dogs’ and cats’ needlepoint mini stockings, needlepointed dog bones and dog houses. Here is my pet wreath. I know it has lots of goodies on it and I do keep it hanging on the door that leads to my garage all year long. I love to needlepoint ornaments to put on it and have quite a stash of canvases to do that will eventually end up on the pet wreath. One which I have not done is a gold-fish mini stocking from Painted Pony. It is one of my favorites!
In Sally Anne’s kitchen, she has several dog items, some needlepoint, some paintings and collages. I love her framed multi dog canvas from Maggie & Co. All the areas have different stitches and the words are all beaded. In Sally Anne’s hall, she has this little stand up of her beloved Jack, a mini long-haired dachshund and in the den. this Maggie “portrait” of a chocolate lab, depicting Daisy. Daisy and Jack are in dog heaven now, but Sally Anne’s love of those two continues.
Diane H. loves dogs, too, and has several of her own, as well as being a baby-sitting mother to several dogs when their parents are out-of-town. She did this adorable Patty Paints canvas honoring her dog friends.

Fanny, a long-haired dachshund, as a baby, still gets into and on top of many tables, closets, most anything! This is Sally Anne's dog.

My baby, Jane Austen, a black and tan cavalier King Charles spaniel. She hates having her picture taken. My real baby, who is 23, took a surprise picture of Jane Austen. That's why she looks so surprised!
